All day I dream about… Shoes? Debatable at best, but December’s Adidas Consortium release just may be the stuff of wet dreams for sneaker freaks the world over. The Kegler Super Lux features a brown ostrich leather upper and suede toe bumper overlays. Originally released in the 80’s as the Skittles shoe, the re-issue is limited to 350 pieces worldwide and runs somewhere in the $190 price range. The shoe also features a peg customizable cushioning system, and is available in store at Hanon and online at kix-files. (Note: We can’t guarantee the online retailer isn’t shady, we’ve never done business with them so…)
From the CYC camp (the same folks that produce sweats for ALIFE, Supreme and house brand Wings and Horns) comes their latest venture in quality gear in the form of Reigning Champ. In their first installment for the fall line, Reigning Champ decided to go with the classic and understated look of pinstripes for a look of clever simplicity. Featuring thick, heavy fleece for warmth during the winter months, an oversized two way zipper and grommets at the hood, this hood is proof sometimes less is definitely more.
If you thought the Apple iPhone was the ultimate embodiment of wireless
cool, do we ever have news for you. In one of the coolest
collaborations of the year, Samsung teamed up with Giorgio Armani to
create the P520, a sleek new wireless concoction sure to inspire glee
for both the tech savvy and the style driven sets.
Check the specs: 2.6

digital media, so you can use your phone to watch movies, listen to
your favorite music and do just about everything you’ve become
accustomed to doing on your wireless device. And of course, for your
wireless internet needs the phone supports WAP, cHTML and SVG tiny 1.1.
The phone comes at a pretty lofty price ($770), but if you can swing it
you won’t be disappointed.
Hardy Blechman’s Maharishi recently joined forces with Mosley Tribes,
the new lifestyle brand from Oliver Peoples. What comes of such a
collaboration? An exquisitely designed limited edition sunglass
release. The eyewear set utilizes up to three available exchangeable
lenses, in Shooter Yellow, Silver Mirror and Grey Gradient. Available
at fine retailers across the country, and online exclusively at bazaaradriatic.com.
New from 10 Deep’s holiday line is the return of their best selling Lo-Low Zip Hoody. This 100% cotton full zip hoody features a yarn died stripe pattern, the 10 Deep embroided appliqué across the front and ventilation holes under the arms. For a splash of color, the good folks add a contrasting stripe at the bottom. At a very friendly price point of $92, the Lo-Low has been the brand’s best selling hoody in past years, and with this season’s new update, we don’t see any reason the trend wouldn’t continue.
The latest kicks from new streetwear brand Gourmet, the Desisto Sneaker pays homage to a hood favorite, the Air Jordan XI. With a strong canvas upper and neophrene liner, these shoes aren’t made for hoop dreamers as much as those who enjoy a simplified day to day fly. These shoes (as well as the rest of the Gourmet line) are produced in Italy, which is an interesting choice considering the American streetwear background of the brand’s designers. Throw in the designer’s shared Italian-American linage, and its all starts to make a little more sense. Now available in very limited quantities, you can cop these at a price point of $150 (about the price of the actual J’s), at Fred Segal’s in NY and select online retailers.
You need some Acapulco Gold in your life (the clothing brand, not the… um… yeah), and as always, your friends at The fresh are here to tell you where to get it. New from the brand’s holiday line is the Wool Ribbon Baseball Jacket. Available in heather or gold, the insulated jacket features red and green ribbons to spell out “Gold” across the front, snap closures and red and green cuffs to complete the minimalist look.
For what feels like a very long time, Artful Dodger has been one of the
best high end streetwear brands in existence. With distinct design, and
limited availability in the U.S. (the brand’s wares are imported from
the U.K. where it was founded) it has cultivated a kind of
under-the-radar, ‘members only’ cool for the fans of the brand
stateside. Put simply, you won’t likely find it at your local mall, and
that’s fine by us.
Today, we’ll tell you where you can buy at least one piece from the AD
collection: the Dark And Dangerous Jean. With a faded wash, and stylish
patches on both of the back pockets, these 100% cotton jeans are sure
to become one of your favorites.
Fresh from Mishka NYC comes the Alexei, raw Japanese selvage denim. From the pink detail seam around the buttonhole, the turquoise detail seam, leather patch and pink tag around the back pockets, to the original hardware and pink lining of the front pockets, the jeans feature a myriad of all the little details premium denim collectors have come to expect. The jeans come in a straight leg, classic fit in either indigo or black. This is raw denim, so Mishka recommends you size up and let your jeans shrink to fit if you enjoy your jeans a little baggy. For a slim fit, just buy your size and they’ll shrink. All jeans come in at 34 inch length.
A few years ago this time the hip hop world lost one of its most original figures, the Ol’ Dirty Bastard. A lot could be said about Dirt McGirt, but it could never be said he was ever anything but himself, a kind of truth in character that is severely lacking these days since. In honor of ODB street wear brand Reason has released the ODB tee. This is a no frills, simple tee featuring a photo of Dirty taken by and from the private collection of Matthew Salacuse. It is available in white, red, green and purple, both long and short sleeve. Let this tee be your expression of truth in character and a reminder to be yourself no matter what. It’s one of the basic principles of true style, and the ODB way.
A company more than 100 years old, Spiewak likes to think it knows a
little something about quality clothes. After checking out the McKenzie
coat from their new winter line, we’d be hard pressed to argue. The
McKenzie is essentially an updated, more fashionable take on the Naval
peacoat, as brought to you by the actual official outfitters of the
U.S. Armed Forces. Military influenced clothing has proven a popular
trend in urban design this year, so what better way to stay ahead of
the curve than to go directly to the source. Composed of wool
herringbone, the coat is 31.5 inches in length and is taffeta quilted
to help you stay toasty in the winter months. All things considered,
this proves to be one quality coat, and at a price of $158, it won’t cost you an arm and a leg either.
